Loving husband to Janice (Mace) Ayd; father to stepchildren Kimberlee Dawn Oliver (Calvin Oliver) and Michael Schuler. Doting and proud grandfather to Malia Alexis Oliver and Isaiah Jordan Oliver; brother to Kathleen Filip-czak (Joe), Barbara Ayd, Mary Lou Morrisseau (Alan) and Patricia Ayd Cole (Paul); Uncle to Scott Trossen, Sherry Fehrman (Roger), Vicki Markoe, Ray Aldrich (and partner Sammy), Gabbie and Suzie Cole, Katie Marcoe (Zachary) and many grand nieces and nephews and 2 great grandnieces. Ed was a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus in the Nicollet Assembly #526. He rose through the ranks and is a past Faithful Navigator. At age 15, Ed achieved the Rank of Eagle Scout in Troop 179, St Paul, MN. He served as a Lieutenant in the US Navy during the Viet Nam War, stationed on the USS Intrepid and USS Barney.
