Chizek, Esther J. Age 93 of Columbia Heights Peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family on 5/17/18. Born in Brandt, SD to Joseph and Olga Johnson. Preceded in death by husband of 69 yrs, Donald E. Chizek; son-in-law, Dale Robertson; four sisters and two brothers. Survived by 4 daughters Carol (Keith) McConnell, Sharon Pietrzak (Bruce Phillips), Janice (Jim) Klempka, Donna Robertson, and former son-in-law, Bob Pietrzak; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Retirement from Honeywell allowed her more time to travel and garden with Donald, can pickles, craft, be with grandchildren, and prepare holiday meals (including lefse and rhubarb pie). Esther treasured the pure and simple love of family. Her fun loving gentle spirit will live long in all who knew her.
