Douglas Grant Stoll Douglas Grant Stoll Douglas Grant Stoll

Stoll, Douglas Grant age 81, died on April 21, 2018 after a long illness. Preceded in death by his parents, Thelma and Milton Stoll, sister Audrey Alexander, and brother Richard Stoll. Survived by his devoted wife Lorri Stoll; sister Kathryn Page; mother-in-law Helen Petersen; sisters-in-law Lyn Steine; and Nancie Petersen; brother-in-law Stephen Petersen; and many nieces; nephews; and dear friends. Doug was an officer in the Marines and a gentleman. He was a multifaceted, charming and good-looking guy who made a big presence in the room. He loved the fine things in life and it showed. Lorri married a red-blooded, old-fashioned chivalrous man who treated her like a princess. He loved to dance holding her securely while gracefully moving her around as if she was weightless. Yet, her rugged he-man was so tough, he never had to draw his gun in 25 years serving in the Minneapolis police force. He had a tender side and nurtured everyone he loved, especially his wife, his mom, his dogs, and his garden. He was thoughtful, often bringing gifts to the ladies in his life for no reason at all. It was obvious that he cared about others with his attention to listening. Doug was best known as an entertainer, and kept us laughing at family gatherings with his absurdities and whimsical sense of humor. We'll miss you "Tweet- tweet."
