Agnes (Mrozek) Tilbury

Tilbury, Agnes (Mrozek) Was born in Milan, MN on November 18, 1923 and was very proud of her Polish heritage. Her family later moved to Appleton, MN where she attended school and dreamed of becoming a nurse. She attended nurses training in Halstead, KS and received her RN degree. In February 1947 she married Gordon Tilbury and lived in Madison, MN and had two sons. The family moved to Minneapolis in 1961 where Gordon died a short time later of a service connected illness from WWII. Agnes was widowed at the very young age of 38. Agnes' life priorities were the raising and welfare of her two sons, encouraging higher education which both accomplished. Agnes was dedicated to her career as a nurse and worked initially in obstetrics, and later loved her position as a nursing supervisor at Jones Harrison Nursing Home. Agnes passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on March 15, 2018. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Susanna Mrozek; husband, Gordon; and eleven siblings. She is survived by her brother, Tom (Joyce) Mrozek; sons, Bill (Nancy), Tom (Kathy); grandchildren, Tara, Todd, Tia, Ryan, Christine, Angela, Lindsey; 18 great-grandchildren; and her dog, Aggie.
