Bigelow, Mary Age 61, of New Prague, passed away Tuesday, April 17, at 11:30 AM, at Reflections Care Center in Northfield. Her husband John was there to witness her parting. Mary was born in 1956, in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. She graduated from Macalester College. For most of three decades, Mary cared for the Japanese Gardens of Carleton College in Northfield and the University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum in Chanhassen where she was a Senior Landscape Gardener. She loved people, plants, and animals, and worked in beautiful places, doing what she wanted to do. Mary is survived by her husband John, brother Lynn Hinkle of Minneapolis and a nephew and his wife Walker and Alanna Hinkle-Burnett also of Minneapolis. A celebration of Mary's life will be held this summer at the Minnesota Arboretum. In lieu of flowers please love people as much as you can and send a prayer Mary's way.
