William 'Bill' Krueger

Krueger, William "Bill" 64, of Bemidji, MN died Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Seasons Hospice, Rochester, MN. Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 21, 2018 at St. Philip's Catholic Church, Bemidji with Fr. Chuck Huck officiating. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., Friday, April 20, 2018 with a 6 p.m. prayer service at the Olson Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji. Visitation will also be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Itasca Calvary Cemetery, Grand Rapids. William James Krueger was born July 15, 1953 in Bemidji, MN to Clarence and Mary Lou (Marose) Krueger. He graduated from Columbia Heights High School. Bill served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He attended St. Johns University in St. Joseph, MN and then William Mitchell College of Law, St. Paul, MN. Bill was self-employed and owned law offices with various partnerships. He married Laurie Jacobson in 1993. They blended a family of three children. He and Laurie worked together at William J. Krueger P.A. in New Brighton, MN while living in Shoreview, MN. Bill enjoyed hunting and fishing, his lake home and his cats. He also enjoyed having debates about politics, being chair for DFL and having an opportunity to run for the state senate. He is survived by his wife, Laurie Krueger of Bemidji; sons, Benjamin Krueger of Madison, WI and David (Kira) Krueger of Fort Myers, FL; daughter, Elizabeth (Benjamin) Betterley of Blaine, MN and grandchildren, Hayli, CJ, JoJo and MaKinley. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Mary Lou Krueger and brother, Rick Krueger.
