Derrick, Patricia A. (Pat) Age 74 of Eden Prairie, passed away on April 12th, 2018. Only 15 days after receiving her esophageal cancer diagnosis. Pat leaves behind her husband of 53 years, Roger; children Michael, Nancy and Katie; grandchildren Cullen, Cassie, Alexis, Liv, Ayden and Kaleb; sister and best friend Linda (Michael) Halley, brothers Walt (Marcia) Torning, Roger (Carol) Torning and many loving nieces, nephews, co-workers at Stitchville USA and good friends. Pat was always ready to advise those with their own special dilemma and inspire all those who knew and learned from her. She appreciated the beauty in the world and enjoyed collecting pretty things, spending time with her stamp collection, working the NY Times crossword puzzle and jigsaw puzzles; most of all working on her cross-stich projects, which she has masterfully displayed around the house. Pat's family offers their appreciation to the nursing staff at Fairview Southdale Hospital for their tireless devotion and to the caregivers at N.C. Little Hospice, who helped us through our tortuous time with their compassion, and diligent loving caregiving for Patty during her final hours. Patty said she was "ready" but didn't want to disappoint the people she loved and who loved her by leaving so quickly. PAT'S LIFE WAS A LIFE WELL LIVED! A Celebration of her life will be held Sunday afternoon, April 29th, 2018 at The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, 3675 Arboretum Dr, in Chaska. Visitation 12:30, Service at 2 PM. Memorials preferred to N.C. Little Hospice or to the Arboretum.
