Drake, Ronald "Ron/Ronnie" Passed away on March 20th at the age of 79. Ron was born in Sioux Falls, SD where he met Mary, his wife of 55 years. Ron served in the Air Force and was stationed in Korea. He loved to tell tales of his time in the military. Ron and Mary moved to Minneapolis, where he was an English teacher for Edina Schools for over 30 years. Ron will be remembered for his humor, fun nature, love of Shakespeare and Sherlock Holmes, crossword puzzles in his chair, martinis with three olives, and affinity for black labs. However, he will most be remembered for being a truly kind person. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother, brother in-law, uncle, and grandfather. Ron is survived by his wife Mary, daughters Nicole (Scott) Jameson, Ashley (Pete) Gunderson, grandchil-dren Jack and Kat Jameson, Drake and Sydney Gunderson, his beloved grand dogs Lola and Dixie, and many friends and family. A celebration of Ron's life/open house will be held at 14301 Stewart Lane, Minnetonka MN on Friday May 11th from 4-8pm. Please come to toast Ron's life.
