Russell E.Y. Strom

Strom, Russell E.Y. Age 90, of Minneapolis died March 12, 2018. Preceded in death by his wife, Anne Lee; his parents, Fred and Gertrude; Brothers, Elon (Lorraine) and Evon Strom. Survived by his daughter, Robin Lee (Robert Michael) Siracusa; Son, Daniel (Marlene); Brother Glen (Mary); Grandchildren; Stacy and fiance, Justin Currier; Steven Strom and many nieces, nephews, cousins and their families. Rusty was born in Duluth, MN. He played hockey at Wheeler Park with Don Bodin and Evan Nyhus. They were known as the "Wheeler Whiz Kids". They joined the Navy together, played hockey at UMD (48-49); Univ. MN Gophers (49-52). Rusty was the Gopher Captain (52). Graduated from College of Pharmacy. At the U of M he met and married his wife of 57 years, Anne Lee Miller. His career was as Chief Pharmacist at St. Barnabas Hospital (15y) and as co-owner of Metropolitan/Capitol Pharmacies for 32 years. He was a instructor in the College of Pharmacy at the Univ. of MN and past President of The Minnesota State Pharmaceutical Association. Lifelong Gopher fan; golf trips to Duluth, Bemidji and his yearly golf outing to Augusta, GA. Rusty loved time spent with family and friends and trips to Sweden.
