Pamela Haynie Allen

Allen, Pamela Haynie Age 75, of Edina, MN & Lincoln, NE, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2018. Preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Mary Margaret Haynie, and twin sister, Cindy Haynie. Survived by sons, Jim (Kristi) Allen and Jeff (Jennifer) Allen; grandchildren, Jack, Charlie, Emily, and Ben; sister, Dee (Bob) Norris; nephew, Patrick (Elizabeth) Norris and numerous friends and family. After graduating from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Pam moved to New York, NY to work as a corporate trainer for IBM. In 1971 she began devoting her time and energy to her family, raising her two sons with unconditional love, patience, and tenderness. In the 1990s she returned to school to earn her Master's degree, and went on to work as a paralegal at the Hennepin County Attorney's Office in Minneapolis, MN for over ten years before retiring. Pam was sweet, beautiful, smart, generous, feisty, and strong. She loved family, friends, singing, playing piano, drinking wine, eating out, dessert, and of course, her crossword puzzles. Pam will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Thank you to her friends who loved her so loyally and thank you to the staff at Sunrise Senior Living in Minnetonka, MN for their exceptionally loving care during the past five years. Celebration of life from 10:30 am 1:30 pm Saturday April 7th at Calhoun Beach Club, 2925 Dean Parkway, Minneapolis, MN. Funeral services and reception 11:00 am Saturday April 14th at Roper & Sons Funeral Home, 4300 O Street, Lincoln, NE. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Alzheimer's Association (alz.org/mnnd).
