Sally 'Mrs. Robert Kjorsvig' Kjorsvig

Kjorsvig, Sally (Mrs. Robert Kjorsvig) 86 of Ely, MN and formerly of Roslyn passed away Tuesday January 23, 2018 at her daughter's home in Ely, MN. A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held at 12 P.M. Saturday February 17, 2018 at The Kjorsvig Farm northeast of Roslyn. The family prefers memorials be directed to: Strand Kjorsvig Living Center, 801 Main Street, Roslyn, SD 57261. Sally Ann Hall was born on Wednesday, June 24, 1931 to Sylvester and Esther (Winquist) Hall in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She fondly remembered her early years living and playing near Powderhorn Park. Sally graduated from Central High School in the spring of 1949. On January 6, 1951, she married her high school sweetheart, Robert D. Kjorsvig in Minneapolis. The couple made their home in Minnesota where three children were born: Joan Marie, James Robert and Thomas Andrew. Sally was a stay-at home mother and a devoted supporter of her children's endeavors. Sally was the guardian for Job's Daughters Bethel #39 and went on to become Minnesota Grand Guardian. Sally will be deeply missed by her children Joan (Donald) of Ely, MN and Jim (Janet) of Maple Grove: four grandchildren Matthew Saari (Shaina), Rajiv Kjorsvig, Cynthia Beans and Kirsten Kjorsvig. Sally passed away in the arms of her daughter at her home in Ely, Minnesota after fighting Alzheimer's Disease with amazing strength and dignity. She was welcomed to heaven by her Savior and those preceding her: her loving parents, her husband of 66 years and her deeply missed son, Thomas.
