Mezzenga, Loraine L. (Wolter, Brenne) of Saint Anthony, MN A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother, Loraine Louise Mezzenga age 88 passed away peacefully on January 14, 2018. Loraine was born January 7, 1930 in Mora, MN to Anna Mary (Luthy) Wolter and John Henry Wolter. After the death of her mother on January 15, 1930, she was adopted by her aunt Emma Elizabeth (Harms) Wolter and John Fred Wolter of Norwood, MN. Graduate of Norwood Young America Central High School and St. Catherine's School of Nursing. Loraine was married to her former husband Duane R. Brenne in Windom, MN in 1949, raising their 4 children there before moving to Minneapolis in 1961. Loraine and Joseph A. Mezzenga were married in Saint Anthony, MN on May 1, 1987. Loraine retired in 1992 after 30 years at JCPenney's. She and Joe enjoyed their winters in Florida for over 25 years where they met wonderful friends. They loved to travel, play bridge and golf, they were especially great dance partners. She was a life-long devoted Christian. Loraine is survived by her beloved husband, Joseph A. Mezzenga; and her children, Lynette (Stephen) Mortonson and Dean (Elizabeth) Brenne; grandchildren, Carissa (Bryan) Vincent, Mindy (Brent) Sullivan, John (Andrea) Brenne, Andrea (Charles) Huckabay and Landon Brenne; great-grandchildren, Rachel Brenne, Catherine Brenne, Zadie O'Sullivan, Amelia O'Sullivan and Grace Vincent; sister, Delphia Swigart. Also survived by step-children, Lisa (Steven) Nerheim, Lynn (Neal) Richards, Joseph Mezzenga, Jr., Tim (Cyndy) Mezzenga, Greg (Kathleen) Mezzenga, Jeanne (Brian) Nicklason and Thomas Mezzenga; step-grandchildren, Melissa (Ben) Matuzas, Bradley (Danelle) Nerheim, Christina (Aaron) Wynkoop, Cody Mezzenga, Daniel Mezzenga, James (Stephanie) Mezzenga, Robert Mezzenga, Cory Mezzenga, Eliana Mezzenga, Samuel Nicklason, and Sophia Nicklason; step-great- grandchildren, Lincoln Mezzenga, Ellis Mezzenga and Reese Mezzenga. Loraine is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lothar (Linda) Wolter, Sr.; sisters, Marion Waddell, Florence Belinski and Della Hackbarth; former husband, Duane Brenne; children, Terry Brenne and Michelle Brenne; grandchildren, Shane Cadwell and Andrew Cadwell. A celebration of life will be held Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 2:00 pm with visitation 1 hour prior to service at Nativity Lutheran Church, 3312 Silver Lake Road, Saint Anthony, MN.
