Morvig, Marilyn J. (Olson) Age 82 of Bloomington, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 15th, 1935 in Willmar, Minnesota to parents, Russell and Virginia Olson. Married her loving husband of 63 years, Helmer Morvig, on November 6th,1954. Marilyn was a selfless and caring woman who always put her family's needs above her own. She was creative and talented and excelled at baking. Her passions included playing piano/organ, square dancing, mall walking and her church. She had a love for animals with a special fondness for dogs of all kinds. Marilyn balanced the needs of her family and a career by working for companies Control Data, Bridgman's, Minnesota Twins and Byerly's. She is survived by her husband, Helmer (Hal); children, Scott (Jennifer) and Dawn (Donald) Harff; brother, Russell (Joan) Olson; grandchildren, Katie and David; nephew, John and niece, Lynn. All are welcome to join the Morvig family for a memorial service on Saturday, January 20th 2018, at 1:00PM at The Founders Ridge Senior Community (Presbyterian Homes) 6600 Auto Club Road, Bloomington, MN 55438.
