Imre, John Peter, Sr. "Junky" of Big Lake, MN passed away unexpectedly on January 8th 2018 in Yuma, AZ. John was born in St. Paul, MN on July 19th, 1939. He served in the US Army from 1963 to 1964. He married his devoted wife, Sheila on September 16th, 1967. Together they began Rite Away Auto in Willernie, MN in 1968. They retired to travel the country in 1997 and began wintering in Yuma. John was known for his colorful character and zest for life. He will be remembered as a hardworking, determined man. John was preceded in death by parents, Peter and Margaret Imre, brother, Jim, daughter, Jackie Lund and granddaughter, Heather McPherson. He is survived by wife of 50 years, Sheila, sister Kathryn (George) Cunningham, children, Mike (Jan) Lund, Tom Lund, Susie (Jesse) Milbrandt, John Imre Jr., grandchildren, Chris, Josh, Katy, Tim (Bri), Andrew, Amanda, Dan (Karilyn), Anne, Brittney (Leif), Bryan, Tailor, Nick, Sidney, Shayne, Sarah, great granddaughters, Amarah, Janaya, Nevada, Sophia, Savea, and Alex. John was a collector of many things, including classic cars and memories. He enjoyed sharing stories of his travels and adventures with his friends and family. He will be greatly missed by many. Services will be determined by the family at a later date.
