McGinnis, Dolores T. (nee Phillips) age 83, passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 15th. Preceded in death by her husband of 57 years John; daughter Mary Ellen; and son Patrick. Survived by son Kevin; daughters Maureen (Chris) Connery and Molly; grandsons Collin and Liam Connery and many other loving relatives and friends. Dolores lived in Mound for more than 40 years and was co-owner of Pizza on the Lake/All Star's. She was a wonderful singer who was active in her church singing group and a member of an Andrew Sisters tribute group. She received her AA degree from the University of MN and became a passionate advocate for the women's rights movement in the 1970's while studying on campus. She was an avid reader and loved flowers, especially gardenias. She was a huge Vikings fan (Skol!) and had season tickets at Met Stadium for many years. Dolores' life, along with her daughter Mary Ellen's, will be celebrated with an Open House/Irish Wake, Sunday, January 21st at Jake O'Connor's, 200 Water St., Excelsior, MN from 3-7pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
