After a 6-3 victory on Thursday night over Oakland, the Twins face the A's again tonight at Target Field (7:10, FSN).

Jake Odorizzi (11-4, 3.06 ERA) pitches against Oakland's Chris Bassitt (6-4, 3.98).

Odorizzi is trying to be the majors' fourth 12-game winner; the 11 victories tie his career high, and he's done it in only 18 starts. His victory in Cleveland Saturday snapped a three-start winless streak.

From the Twins' pregame notes: Odorizzi has a chance for his 12th win in the team's 96th game; the Twins have not had a pitcher win 12 games within the club's first 100 of the season since Carl Pavano in 2010, while there have been only 15 such occurrences in club history (since 1961).

Note: Twins minor league pitcher Jesus Medina has been suspended for 72 games after testing positive for Stanozolol, a performance enhancing drug. The suspension was announced by the commissioner's office.

The 17-year-old Venezuelan pitched in eight games this season for the rookie-level Gulf Coast Twins.
