Features Copy Desk Chief Bill Hammond is a 42-year newspaper veteran who worked in Eau Claire and Milwaukee, Wis., before joining the Minneapolis Star staff in 1981. 

In addition to his duties as a copy editor, Hammond writes occasional Travel pieces and selects and edits material for the weekly automotive section, Drive.
