Wolves try to quickly regroup

Preview: The Wolves are coming off an overtime loss at home to Philadelphia on Tuesday, a game in which they led by nine with six minutes left. It was a taxing game, with three starters playing more than 40 minutes — Karl-Anthony Towns (48:07), Jimmy Butler (45:30) and Andrew Wiggins (40:01). Now the Wolves get Sacramento for the first time this season. The Kings beat Phoenix on Tuesday, their second win in three games. They'll be looking to win consecutive games for just the second time this season.

Players to watch: G Butler scored a season-high 38 points on 15-for-33 shooting Tuesday. F Towns had 19 points and 16 rebounds, four steals and three blocks. F Wiggins is 28-for-84 (33.3 percent) overall and 2-for-20 on three-pointers in his past five games. The Kings are led by veteran F Zach Randolph (15.2 points per game, 7 rpg), G Buddy Hield (12.6 ppg) and C Willie Cauley-Stein (10.3 ppg, 5.9 rpg).

Numbers: The Wolves shot 5-for-29 on three-pointers Tuesday. Minnesota went 1-3 vs. Sacramento last season. Tuesday was the first game this season the Wolves lost a game they led by at least nine with six minutes left. They are 10-1 in such games. The Wolves' past six games have been decided by six points or less, the longest such streak since January of 2007.

Injuries: Wolves F Nemanja Bjelica (left mid-foot sprain) is questionable. Kings F/C Harry Giles (knee) is out.
