The National Hockey League will return to its regular schedule this season, with all teams set for 82 games, and the Wild will start the season on Friday, Oct. 15 in Anaheim against the Ducks.
After a game in Los Angeles on Oct. 16, the home opener for the Wild is Tuesday, Oct. 19, vs. Winnipeg.

The highlight of the 2021-22 season will be a New Year's Day game at Target Field when the nationally televised Winter Classic features the Wild and the St. Louis Blues.
There will be an Olympic break from Feb. 7-22. The All-Star game is in Vegas on Feb. 5.
There is no guarantee the NHL will allow players to be in the Olympics; if they aren't, the schedule will be revised.
Under the current schedule, the Wild has 16 games in March, and 12 will be at home. That includes a team-record nine-game homestand.
Teams played 56 games last season, one shortened because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The NHL season opens on Tuesday, Oct. 12, with Pittsburgh at Stanley Cup champion Tampa Bay and Seattle at Vegas as part of an ESPN doubleheader.
The season ends on Friday, April 29, when the Wild plays a home game against Colorado.
