Division leaders meet for first time this season

Preview: The first- and second-place teams in the West Division square off for the first time this season, when the Wild visits Vegas. The Golden Knights (12-4-1, 25 points) are coming off a 3-2 overtime win over Anaheim on Saturday that put them back atop the West after the Wild (12-6-0, 24 points) briefly took the lead with its 4-3 OT win over Los Angeles. … In beating the Kings on Matt Dumba's goal with 0.3 seconds left, the Wild won its sixth consecutive game, tying for the longest winning streak in the NHL this season. It's the longest win streak for the Wild since its franchise-record 12 in a row, set from Dec. 4-29, 2016.

Players to watch: Wild F Mats Zuccarello assisted on Dumba's winner and has three goals and eight assists in the win streak. F Kirill Kaprizov's goal against the Kings extended his points streak to five games. He has six goals and 11 assists, with his 17 points leading both the Wild and NHL rookies. … Golden Knights F William Karlsson scored two goals, including the OT winner, against Anaheim. He has five goals and nine assists this season. F Mark Stone (4-13 — 17) leads Vegas in scoring. G Marc-Andre Fleury ranks third in the NHL with a 1.59 goals-against average.

Numbers: The Wild is 4-0 in overtime this season and has a six-game OT win streak dating to Feb. 19, 2020. When scoring three or more goals this season, the Wild is 12-1. … Fleury posted his 100th victory with Vegas on Saturday. He has 475 in his career.

Stalock on waivers: The Wild placed goalie Alex Stalock on waivers. Stalock, who hasn't played this season because of an upper-body injury, would need to clear waivers to be assigned to the taxi squad or Iowa of the AHL. He has been skating with the team.

Injuries: Wild F Marcus Johansson (upper body) is day-to-day. … Golden Knights G Robin Lehner (upper body) has been sidelined since Feb. 9. D Brayden McNabb (foot) is out.
