Much has been made of Brett Favre turning 40 tomorrow. There are ample statistics showing QBs haven't generally had much success at his age, particularly when it comes to the playoffs and the biggest prize of all, the Super Bowl.

Some of his teammates, however, took a slightly more humorous approach to The Big Turn on Friday. We happened to be out there for a couple of interviews for stories down the road. The picture you see on this post was one of two from the same scene -- Favre's draft party back in April 1991 -- that was blown up and posted on a giant bulletin board in the locker room. Yes, that's Favre rocking the rolled up denim shorts and looking half his current age because, well, he was about half his current age as a spry 21-year-old back then.

Plenty of players had plenty to say about the shorts, the babyface, the giant phone, etc., though the biggest laugh might have been the teasing Ian Johnson got because his sweatshirt looked an awful lot like the teal-and-grey t-shirt worn by the gentleman on the left. "Styles come back" was the best Johnson could do in his own defense.

Favre was, of course, present, though Friday is not his day to speak with the media. Cake was abundant -- so much so that Brian Robison saw all that was left and jokingly wondered if people were scared to eat Favre's cake.
