"My Fair Lady" didn't dazzle during the recent Tony Awards, but the 1964 film version still holds up despite the fact that star Audrey Hepburn lip-syncs her way through Eliza Doolittle's numbers. Julie Andrews was passed over for the movie, despite originating the role on stage. She got her revenge, winning an Academy Award for "Mary Poppins," the same year that "Fair Lady" took home Best Picture.

"If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" is such a beloved children's book that Charles Schulz dedicated two "Peanuts" strips to it. The delightful TV version, which revolved around such delightful dilemmas as running out of applesauce, was also a big enough hit to merit a second season, which is once again aimed directly at preschoolers. Just make sure you've got a full stock of Chips Ahoy! on hand for post-viewing analysis.

Saved by the Bell
W. Kamau Bell's involvement in CNN's Sunday night lineup hasn't prevented him from other duties. "W. Kamau Bell: Private School Negro," his latest stand-up special, focuses largely on politics and race. Later this summer, he'll make his directorial debut with an episode of A&E's docuseries "Cultureshock" that looks at the impact of Chris Rock's 1996 HBO special "Bring the Pain."
