JAN. 12

Accident. A vehicle and a Bobcat collided in the 2800 block of Vilas Lane. A "Bobcat removing snow, not the animal," the police report noted.

Theft. Somebody stole a license plate off a vehicle in the 2000 block of Cliff Lake Road.

JAN. 13

Theft. A man walked out of SuperAmerica with pop, gum and candy about 12:05 a.m.

ROSEMOUNT

JAN. 7

Threats. Police arrested a 52-year-old Rosemount man in connection with terroristic threats in the 14900 block of Chorley Avenue W.

JAN. 8

Traffic violation. A driver was stopped for driving after license suspension at E. 4th Street and Vermillion Street.

SOUTH ST. PAUL

JAN. 9

Theft. A cab driver reported being stiffed by a fare in the 600 block of 3rd Avenue S.

JAN. 10

Theft. Somebody stole three scrap rooftop units from the back of a commercial building in the 100 block of Concord Exchange. The units had value as scrap metal.

Burglary. Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 749 6th Av. S., was burglarized. Several doors and file cabinets were pried open, but the only thing that was known to be missing was $40 taken from the priest's desk.

Theft. A vehicle window was broken and a messenger bag was stolen in the 2200 block of Southview Boulevard.

WEST ST. PAUL

JAN. 8

Animal complaint. A caller in the 900 block of Sperl Street reported seeing a bobcat. He was told to call if he sees the animal again.

Civil dispute. A resident of the 400 block of W. Mendota Road told police that her daughter's father was trying to brainwash the daughter into living with him. Police advised her it was a civil matter.

Animal complaint. Somebody pulled up to the intersection of Carrie Street and E. Haskell Street about 11 p.m., dropped off an animal carrier with a dog inside and sped away. The dog, which was a pit bull, was taken to the South St. Paul animal hospital.

JAN. 9

Utility problem. A water-main break was reported in the 200 block of Carol Lane. St. Paul Regional Water Services responded to the scene.

JAN. 11

Theft. A 34-year-old woman was cited for theft at Menards, 1445 S. Robert St.

Fraud. A caller in the sub-100 block of Emerson Avenue E. told police that he had lost an arm-wrestling match to a friend of a friend, and he had told the other man that he'd give him $50 if he lost. He didn't have any cash, so he gave the man his debit card. He called police when he was unable to reach the other man to get his card back. Police told him to cancel his card and to report any fraudulent transactions to police.

Property damage. A truck tire was slashed in the 300 block of Marie Avenue E.
