"Slaughterhouse Five" is a spastic, strange musical. Which makes some sense, given the source material: Kurt Vonnegut's time-tripping tale of Billy Pilgrim, who survives both the firebombing of Dresden in World War II and kidnapping by aliens from the planet of Tralfamadore. Pilgrim is "unstuck in time" — a line this musical takes up as a kind of chorus. The cast scurries between scenes and fragments of scenes — some little more than 10-second snippets — dragging along Pilgrim, played by a wide-eyed, shoulder-shrugging Jacob Hooper. You'll leave feeling a little nuts, too, which may be the point. (4 p.m. Sat., 5:30 p.m. Mon., 8:30 p.m. Aug. 11, 2:30 p.m. Aug. 12, Jungle Theater, 2951 Lyndale Av. S., Mpls.)
