The Timberwolves play in Houston in the season finale Wednesday night, with the goal of not going into the season on a six-game losing streak.

No matter who the Rockets play or don't play, it won't be easy.

Tuesday the Thunder sat Russell Westbrook, Taj Gibson and Andre Roberson. And still, down the stretch in a tight game, the Wolves couldn't get it done. Victor Oladipo's jumper with 6.3 seconds left gave the Thunder a 100-98 victory, put the Wolves home record at 20-21.

If the Wolves lose in Houston Wednesday they will have lost 13 of their final 16 games.

Here are some final notes on the game:

--Karl-Anthony Towns surpassed Kevin Love to become the team's all-time single-season scoring leader. With 26 points tonight Towns has 2,033. He also has 986 rebounds, needing 14 to become the youngest player in NBA history to have a 2,000-1,000 season and the first since Tim Duncan in 2001-02.

--Towns is averaging 18.7 rebounds in three games vs. Houston this season.

--That said, both Towns and Gorgi Dieng were man-handled by the Thunder front line tonight. The Thunder out-rebounded the Wolves 54-35. It was the most rebounds by a Wolves opponent this season. Oklahoma City had 18 offensive rebounds and 22 second-chance points.

--Ricky Rubio had his 25th double-double of the season and his 34th game with 10 or more assists.
