Lynx update: Center Janel McCarville is still dealing with lower back pain, but it is improving and she should be ready to go. The Lynx believe Atlanta will try hard to exploit its size advantage inside more than in Game 1, so the defense of McCarville and forwards Rebekkah Brunson and Devereaux Peters will be tested. Brunson's defense on Angel McCoughtry was stellar in Game 1, but it affected Brunson (four points) on the offensive end. … F Maya Moore continued her playoff efficiency, scoring 23 points on just 16 shots, with seven rebounds and two steals. She has led the Lynx in scoring in four of five playoff games. F Seimone Augustus (19 points on 9-for-15 shooting) was also effective. Guard Monica Wright (20 points) and Peters (seven rebounds, four steals) were strong off the bench. Minnesota is 13-2 all-time in home playoff games.
Dream update: Forward Tiffany Hayes, who took a hard fall on her tailbone and back after getting tangled up with Wright under the Lynx basket, was feeling better Monday. She tried to return briefly Sunday before leaving the game for good. She didn't do much in practice Monday but is expected to play Tuesday. … C Erika de Souza has a sore ankle — she was wearing a protective boot during media access Monday — but she is expected to be OK. … Atlanta coach Fred Williams is stressing more patience on offense and tighter defense. The Dream shot just 31.2 percent Sunday overall and was 2-for-36 on shots from outside the paint. The team had only eight assists and shot 0-for-15 from three-point range. … Atlanta is 0-7 in championship series games.
