Oilers' power play packs punch

Preview: The Wild practiced Thursday in Edmonton before concluding its two-game swing through Western Canada on Friday vs. the Oilers. C Victor Rask took line rushes in LW Ryan Donato's spot on the fourth line, suggesting he could be back in the lineup Friday. The Wild could also swap in D Greg Pateryn and G Alex Stalock to give everyone a chance to play on the dads/mentors' trip. … Oilers C Connor McDavid, who has missed the past five games because of a quad injury, hasn't ruled out a return to action against the Wild.

Players to watch: Oilers C Leon Draisaitl leads the NHL in scoring with 95 points. RW Kailer Yamamoto has four goals and three assists during his past six games. … Wild RW Kevin Fiala has 11 points (six goals) over his past eight games. RW Mats Zuccarello had a pair of assists Wednesday in the 4-3 shootout victory at Vancouver.

Numbers: The Wild is 10-7-2 in its past 19 road contests. The Wild's penalty kill is 10-for-10 over the past four games. … Edmonton's power play is tops in the NHL at 29.1%. The Oilers' PK is second (84.8%).

Injuries: Oilers RW James Neal (ankle), LW Joakim Nygard (hand), C Kyle Brodziak (back) and D Kris Russell (concussion) are out.
