The westbound lanes of Interstate 94 reopened Thursday night after being closed for a time because of a serious-injury crash, according to the Minnesota State Patrol and transportation officials.

Westbound 94 was closed at the Hwy. 241 exit to St. Michael, in Wright County, just before 5:30 p.m. after a Toyota Corolla went off the road and struck a bridge base, then rolled down the embankment, the patrol said.

The patrol is still investigating the crash, which resulted in serious injury. It expected to release more details later.
