For a consecutive opener at U.S. Bank Stadium, the Vikings walked out with a win and the NFC's best player of the week on offense.

This time, quarterback Sam Bradford was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week after completing 84.4 percent of his passes for 346 yards and three touchdowns in Monday night's win against the Saints.

Bradford started off his contract year with a bang, posting a career-best 143.0 passer rating as Vikings receivers torched the Saints man-to-man coverage. Stefon Diggs, who earned player of the week honors in Week 2 vs. Green Bay last season, paired with Adam Thielen for a combined 16 catches for 250 yards and two touchdowns.

Bradford is the second NFC Offensive Player of the Week to be named under head coach Mike Zimmer. He's the first Vikings quarterback to earn the honor since Brett Favre in 2009.
