Walker elevating Hornets

Wolves update: The Wolves will complete their four-game homestand before heading back on the road for seven of their next nine games. With their comeback victory over the Rockets on Monday, the Wolves improved to 8-3 since the Jimmy Butler trade. ... The Wolves held the Rockets to just 29 points in the second half, the fewest points the Wolves allowed in a second half since 2008. The nine points they allowed the Rockets in the fourth quarter were the fewest allowed in a fourth quarter since 2002. ... Derrick Rose took just four shots vs. the Rockets, hitting none of them as he faced frequent double teams. It was the fewest shot attempts he had since he took just one vs. the Warriors on Nov. 2, a game Rose left early.

Hornets update: The Hornets have playoff aspiration this season thanks to Kemba Walker, who is averaging career highs in points (26.5) and assists (6.2). Walker has game-changing ability and hung 60 points on the 76ers on Nov. 17. He has scored over 20 points in all but six games this season. Walker is averaging 20.3 shots per game, second most in the league. ... The Hornets boast the sixth-most efficient offense in the league at 111.7 points per 100 possessions. They own the best assist-to-turnover ratio in the league at 1.93 and have the league's best turnover percentage at 12.3. ... Jeremy Lamb has improved playing alongside Walker, averaging a career-high 15.2 points per game.
