Law enforcement's hunt continues for the driver who purposely ran over a woman outside her Uber workplace in Roseville and has remained at-large for a month, police said Wednesday.
The 22-year-old woman from St. Paul was in the parking lot of the ride-sharing company's Twin Cities hub at 2055 Rice St. about 5:45 p.m. on Nov. 6, when the driver of an SUV or minivan hit her and inflicted "significant injuries," a police statement read.
Moments earlier, she and the driver briefly spoke as he sat behind the wheel, the statement added. As she returned to the building, the driver "quickly accelerated towards the victim and intentionally ran her over."
Police say he took off on southbound Rice Street.
Witnesses to the incident told police that "he did try to hit her," said Police Lt. Erika Scheider. "The victim reported that she did not know the suspect."
Scheider said the woman, whose identity has yet to be released, "is doing better. She is starting to recover but had some significant injuries that required a number of surgeries" at Regions Hospital.
The suspect vehicle was described as a mid-2000s smaller gold SUV or minivan. Scheider said police have yet to release a description of the driver because they are still sorting out conflicting information brought to them.
The lieutenant added that police have yet to determine whether the suspect was an Uber driver at any time.

A reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
