Q: Is "Gotham" coming back?

A: Yes. Fox says the show will return at midseason in 2018-19. That, though, will be the show's last go-round, with the network "wrapping up this beloved series in a farewell event that will focus on Bruce Wayne's (David Mazouz) transformation into the caped crusader."

'Americans' won't live on

Q: Any spinoff chatter for the cast of "The Americans"? I'm thinking of Paige (Holly Taylor) in a "Fugitive"-type role, roaming the country.

A: As fans know, Paige Jennings, the daughter of Soviet spies Philip (Matthew Rhys) and Elizabeth (Keri Russell), chose not to go to Russia with her parents. Many viewers have hoped for some kind of continuation. But series co-creators Joe Weisberg and Joel Fields have made clear to Variety that any continued narrative was unnecessary. "I think the story's told," Fields said.

An 'Incredible' resemblance

Q: Is Hetty of "NCIS: Los Angeles" any relation to Edna Mode in the "Incredibles" movies? There looks like a family resemblance, LOL.

A: People have certainly wondered whether the character played by Linda Hunt in the CBS drama is an inspiration for the designer in the animated films. Others have noted that Edna recalls Edith Head, the famous movie-costume designer. "Incredibles" writer-director Brad Bird (who is also the voice of Edna) has not said who is the inspiration for Edna, but did deny that she is Edith Head in a 2013 tweet.

'Mountain Men' returns in July

Q: When will "Mountain Men" be back?

A: The History series is set to begin a run of new episodes on July 19.

'Judy' pays the freight

Q: On "Judge Judy," how does the winner of the case get the money? Does the show pay and then collect from the loser, or does the loser pay the winner directly?

A: According to a letter sent to one potential contestant, the show pays the money in a case, not the people involved. The show also pays an appearance fee and travel costs. If you want to take part in the show, there's a "Submit Your Case" form on JudgeJudy.com.

'Outlander' will be back in the fall

Q: Do you know when "Outlander" will be back?

A: The drama based on Diana Gabaldon's novels returns in November. And two more seasons will be coming after that.

The fall of 'Rise'

Q: I have heard "Rise" is not coming back. The show was something new and different as well as heartwarming and relevant. Any chance it will still return, maybe on a different network?

A: I do not know of plans for more of the musical drama. There just weren't enough people who loved the show the way you did. And where strong support from critics might have helped, the reaction to "Rise" was mixed.
