The Lynx made it official today, announcing the signing of forward Erlana Larkins to a seven-day contract. The eight-year veteran – her last six years were with Indiana – has career averages of 6.1 points, 55.7 percent shooting and 5.5 rebounds while starting in 122 of 234 career games.

Larkins has been healing from a bone bruise in her knee sustained while playing overseas last winter. It is likely Larkins, who has not played in months, will be eased into action with the Lynx.

But, if healthy, Larkins is a veteran player with playoff experience, having played for Indiana against the Lynx in the 2015 WNBA finals. She has played in 37 postseason games, starting 29, with career playoff averages of 8.2 points, 8.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists.

The Lynx have been looking for a viable backup to Rebekkah Brunson, who missed Wednesday's victory in Indiana with a thigh injury. Endy Miyem started in her place, becoming just the fifth rookie to start a game for the Lynx since coach Cheryl Reeve came to Minnesota in 2010.
