Planning a vintage wedding? Decorating a new apartment or home? Junk Bonanza, the mother lode for antiques and reimagined treasures, is returning to Canterbury Park. More than 150 vintage purveyors from around the country will gather in Shakopee with their wares, including furniture, home and garden decor, jewelry and clothing. Round up your pals, grab a bloody mary, and sip while you shop. Free sessions by stylists, including Seattle's Janna Lufkin of photostyle.com, who will offer tips for shopping vintage like a pro; Chicago dealer Melissa Parks who will demystify the elements of creating beautiful vintage vignettes, and KSTP home and garden expert Larry Pfarr, who will infuse new life into vintage items using potted plants and herbs. Hours: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 19, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 20 and 21. $10 per day. Earth Day celebration
Tour one of Minneapolis' most elaborate greenhouses at Lakewood Cemetery. Once the largest floral wholesaler west of Chicago, the cemetery houses and maintains six large greenhouses. Learn about the cemetery's long horticultural history. Window box of herbs
Lack of space need not be a hindrance to growing herbs at home. Mary Beth Gullickson of Cedar Brook Garden Center instructs a class on window boxes. Plant a movable garden compact enough for a balcony or outdoor table. Get tips on growing, and fill your box with herbs and edible flowers. Culinary mushroom workshop
Take mushrooms off your grocery list — learn how to cultivate them at home. Garden prep
Spring may seem far away, but it's never too early to get plans underway. Experts from Minnesota Native Landscapes will demonstrate how to create garden art and plant markers with clay, and how to cultivate a pollinator garden.
