Bus riders are not the only commuters having to endure detours due to Super Bowl events and Sunday's game. Light-rail riders will feel the impact starting Friday.

At 6 p.m., U.S. Bank Stadium Station will close until 3 a.m. Monday. Trains will still pass through the station, but will not stop there to pick up or drop off passengers. The nearest station is Government Center Plaza, three blocks to the west.

A bigger impact comes on Sunday when the entire Blue Line will be off-limits to regular riders. The line from Mall of America to Target Field will be used exclusively for Super Bowl LII ticket holders. From 4 a.m.. Sunday until 3 a.m.. Monday, replacement buses will transport customers. Rides will be free.

Green Line trains will be reserved for ticket holders between Stadium Village and Target Field stations. The nearest station is a few blocks east at Prospect Park. Replacement buses will run from Stadium Village to downtown Minneapolis.

Green Line trains will run as normal from Prospect Park to Union Depot in downtown Minneapolis.
