Raye Birk: It's one of those things that feels like it's always been a part of your life, but I always go back to the English "Christmas Carol" [film] with Alastair Sim [1951].

J.C. Cutler: I'm kind of partial to George C. Scott. He did it for TV [1984]. Somebody told me once that I reminded them of Scott. And we all love "Mr. Magoo" [1962]. I watch them all and steal from them all.

Nathaniel Fuller: I like Alastair Sim. I just revisited several of the films, oddly enough, and one very good Scrooge is Michael Caine in "The Muppet Christmas Carol" [1992].

Peter Michael Goetz: I admired very much a young man who has passed away — Jeff Chandler, who did it in maybe not even his 30s at the Guthrie [1976-77]. A wonderful performance! That's when I was playing Dickens.

Richard Ooms: The [1970] musical with Albert Finney — I adore him, and his look at the part was just adorable to me.
