Hockey fans can catch a glimpse of two highly touted Gophers recruits and other standout talent from Minnesota on NHL Network over the next several days.

The U.S. men's national Under-18 team topped Switzerland 4-2 Thursday afternoon on NHL Network in the quarterfinals of the 2017 International Ice Hockey Federation U-18 World Championships in Slovakia.

Friday's semifinal game and Saturday's Gold Medal and Bronze Medal games will also air on NHL Network.

Grant Mismash, the former Edina standout forward, was the U.S. team's second-leading scorer with six points (two goals, four assists).

Ryan Poehling, the St. Cloud State forward from Lakeville, is among the team's top goal-scorers with three goals. He scored two goals against Russia in the preliminary round.

Gophers recruit Nate Knoepke, a defenseman from Farmington, leads the U.S. with a plus-eight rating and is one of the top assist leaders with three.

Forward Scott Reedy, the Gophers recruit from Prior Lake, has one goal and one assist in the tournament.

Friday's start time has yet to be determined. Saturday's championship game is at 1:30 p.m. and the third-place game at 9:30 a.m.

The U.S. is unbeaten through six tournament games.
