After encouraging start, a challenge

Preview: The Wolves (7-3) are off to their third-best start after 10 games in franchise history, have their first five-game winning streak since 2009 and are looking to win six in a row for the first time since the end of the 2003-04 season. But those seven victories came against six teams that, as of Tuesday morning, were a combined 24-36, so going against a Golden State team that has won four consecutive and seven of its past eight will be a much stiffer test. The two teams played twice in China during the preseason, splitting those games.

Players to watch: Wolves PG Jeff Teague has double-doubles in four of the past five games, during which he has averaged 14.8 points and 10.4 assists. F/G Andrew Wiggins' 20-point game Sunday was his seventh game with 20 or more points in 10 games. Reserve G Jamal Crawford has scored in double figures off the bench in three of the past four games. Warriors F Kevin Durant is 10th in the league in scoring (24.8) and second in blocks (2.45) and is shooting 46.4 percent on three-pointers. G Klay Thompson is second on the team in scoring (20.3) and his hitting 45.3 percent of his threes.

Numbers: The Wolves are 6-0 when outrebounding opponents. The Wolves have scored 100 or more points in nine consecutive games, the second longest such streak in franchise history. But the Warriors have held two of their past three opponents under 100.
