The 2019 Lynx schedule looks like it will be more team-friendly than the 2018 slate was.

Because of the FIBA world championships last fall, the 2018 WNBA season compressed its 34-game slate into a 94-day window. That meant fewer days off for the veteran Lynx. This year the Lynx open at home against Chicago (coached by former Lynx assistant James Wade) on May 25 and finish the season Sept. 8 at Los Angeles, a season 107 days long. Unlike last season, there will be no back-to-back games for the Lynx. Other highlights of the schedule:

• Four nationally televised games, including one on ABC (June 8 at Los Angeles) and three on ESPN2 (July 6 at Connecticut, Aug. 22 vs. Dallas and Sept. 8 at Los Angeles).

• The team's first four-game homestand since 2015 (Aug. 22-Sept. 1 vs. Dallas, Las Vegas, Chicago and Indiana).

• Only one three-game road trip (July 6-12 at Connecticut, Chicago and Atlanta).
