The Saints took advantage of a throwing error to score two runs in a three-run first inning and went on to defeat Indianapolis 5-4 in their series finale Sunday at CHS Field.
Right fielder Jimmy Kerrigan, who homered in each of the two previous games, recorded two outfield assists, throwing out Indians runners at second and home, and made a leaping catch against the right field wall that prevented an extra-base hit.
His defense backed Saints starter Griffin Jax, who gave up one run in six strong innings, striking out eight. Jax left with a 5-1 lead, thanks to RBI singles by Keon Broxton and Yeltsin Encarnacion in the fourth.

Saints pitchers recorded 15 strikeouts for the second game in a row, including three by Tom Hackimer, who struck out the side in the ninth for his first save.
Christian Betancourt doubled twice and Ke'Bryan Hayes hit a two-run homer for Indy.
