If you have dreamed of visiting Paris, returning to Paris or even working in Paris, the novel "Paris by the Book" by Liam Callanan will be an enjoyable read.

It is a somewhat improbable story, but one told with intelligence and great insight. A father has simply vanished. Fantastical as it may be, the family relocates to Paris from Wisconsin and stumbles into owning and living above a bookstore. There is also humor, adventure and romance. Supporting characters are varied and interesting.

Plus, you will learn amazing things about French food. Wonderful on many levels, "Paris by the Book" might be your favorite summer read.
