We won't know until before game time tonight whether Nikola Pekovic will suit up for the first time in nearly 10 months. .

Tuesday interim coach Sam Mitchell said Pekovic, who is coming back from April surgery on his Achilles tendon, would be 50-50 for tonight's game with Denver.

This morning Pekovic wasn't able to clarify it any further.

"I really don't know whose call it is," Pekovic said. "Probably I'm going to do some pregame (warmups) and then after decide. Whatever Sam said, I agree.''

But Pekovic – who last played in a game March 11 – is close. If he doesn't play tonight it could be Friday or Sunday. And, considering it has been almost 10 months since he last played – there will be some readjustment needed. "I'm excited and scared," Pekovic said. "I haven't played in a game in close to a year. Probably for six months (after the surgery) I didn't run. So it's going to be a little different, how I feel out there. I feel like I'm starting again to play basketball.''

Here are some other notes from this morning:

--Andrew Wiggins was asked about Tuesday's 90-minute team meeting. Specifically, what he hopes to see in the first game after said meeting: "A win, most importantly,'' he said. "Guys getting together, teamwork, guys being unselfish. …. We just need to help each other on defense. Just play hard the whole game.''

--Shabazz Muhammad was a bit more blunt: "If our energy level doesn't change (after that meeting) I don't know what's wrong.''

That's about it. I'll get back to you later today.
