A man was run over and killed after dark on a residential street in Brooklyn Center by a driver who left the scene, officials said Tuesday.
The crash occurred shortly before 10 p.m. Monday in the 6600 block of N. Dupont Avenue, around the corner from Brooklyn Center High School, police said.
Officers arrived and located the man in the road, a statement from police read.
The vehicle was located and has been impounded pending a search, but the driver has yet to be found in what police have classified as a hit-and-run incident.
