Jaax, Dawn Joyce (Klenk) 62, of Dayton, MN was welcomed by her Lord and Savior on June 26th, 2024. Dawn passed suddenly and tragically in a motorcycle accident with her husband, Kevin Jaax. Her loss was incredibly unexpected and her family is deeply saddened. Dawn was born on December 19, 1961 to Lambert and Nancy Klenk in Minneapolis, MN. Dawn met the love of her life, Kevin, at age 18 after watching him play bass in a local band. It was love at first sight and they were married on October 2, 1982. Together, Kevin and Dawn created a loving life built firmly on the foundation of God and their steadfast devotion to one another. She had and raised three children: Aaron, Andy, and Angela, who she loved and cared for dearly. Dawn spent many successful years in various administrative and managerial roles, including creating floral arrangements. She was very skilled and blessed many people with her work. Most recently, Dawn had retired to provide care for her mother and father. She was very much looking forward to traveling with her husband in their new camper, enjoying life, and wanted nothing more than to watch her grandchildren grow. Dawn is survived by her mother, Nancy Klenk, her children Aaron (Liz) Jaax, Andy (Caitlin) Jaax, and Angela (Calvin) Tomczak, her beloved granddaughters Bennett, Blake, and Baylor Jaax and her siblings Deb (Mark) Harless, David (Julie) Klenk, and Denise (Doug Thedens) Klenk. She is preceded in death by her father Lambert Klenk and granddaughter Elliot Jaax. Her family rests knowing Dawn and Kevin are together with their creator. A service will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at 1:00pm at Mill City Church at 685 13th Ave NE, Minneapolis 55413 with a visitation one hour prior and reception following the service.
