Skillrud, Theresa McDonough 1960-2023 Theresa McDonough Skillrud, 63, of Saint Paul, passed away unexpectedly on June 7, 2023 from complications related to ITP. She was a loving, compassionate wife, mother, daughter, and sister - and brand-new grandmother. She embraced life, and cherished spending time with family and friends. She loved reading, baking, crossword puzzles, gardening and going for walks. A graduate of St. Cloud State University, she pursued a successful career in marketing communications. She was creative, strategic and an outstanding writer. She is survived by her husband, Michael, son Erik (Lia); daughter Kelsey; granddaughter Sophia; parents Mary (Marthaler) and Marshall McDonough; siblings Mary Jo (Tom) Exley, Michael McDonough, Tom (Helen) McDonough, Karen (Tim) Brummer; in-laws Mark (Bonnie), Marsha (Mike) Danzeisen, Matt (Kathy); nieces, nephews, and their children. Theresa was preceded in death by her grandparents, Therese (Blaeser) and Joseph Marthaler, Edna (McErlane) and Coleman McDonough, in-laws, Rita (Condon) and Robert Skillrud. A visitation will be held at O'Halloran & Murphy, 575 Snelling Ave. S., Saint Paul on Sunday, June 25, 4-7pm. Celebration of Life Mass will take place Monday, June 26 at 10:30am at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, 1938 Stanford Ave., St. Paul. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
