Pokorny, Jeanne Marie (Dvorak) Passed away on May 8, 2023, at age 93. Preceded in death by husband, J. Roger, and grandson, Ted. Jeanne grew up in the Hopkins area, going to school and working on the farm. Jeanne and Roger met just after high school and married in 1950, at Faith Presbyterian, where they were lifelong members. They had a large group of friends, and Jeanne developed her considerable hostess skills with themed parties and huge family gatherings. She was a church deaconess and held many related roles, including cooking for hundreds at Branch II homeless shelters, delivering food for Meals on Wheels, and volunteering for Habitat for Humanity. She enjoyed square dancing, card clubs, golf, spending time with and taking pictures of her family, and traveling. Jeanne's kind heart extended to adopting many dogs from the pound. She loved reading and kept current through reading and reading clubs. Jeanne led a full life, touching countless others. Jeanne is survived by her sons, Steven (Joyce), Richard (Mary), and James (Suzanne), grandchildren; Alyssa, Andrew, Alex, Amanda, Jacob, Kristen, and Sean, and great-grandchildren; Haley, Adelyn, Josie, and Ethan.
