Her career took her to California where she worked at Rancho Los Amigos with post polio patients. She also traveled to Argentina to start a similar therapy program in Buenos Aires. In California she met Jim, the love of her life - and began her adventure as his lifelong companion which eventually brought them and their two children back to Minnesota where they settled in St Anthony Park. Ruby stayed active in state OT associations and eventually worked with the Mpls Public Schools providing OT services to young children. She was also a member of Bethany Baptist Church where she served in many roles serving children. She lead Camp Fire programs, and was a member of PEO. She spent many years sharing Christ with others, by leading the Children's Program at Community Bible Study. She cared for her aging parents, brought joy to many people, and loved well her husband and children, and grands/great-grands (her beloved babies). In their later years Ruby and Jim enjoyed travel, and made many trips to her beloved Sweden. But their hearts found a special place when they built a cottage on Lake Superior which they named Boulderwood. Endless hours of joy were shared with family and friends. During her last difficult years Ruby received compassionate care at Amira Choice in Roseville. Jim remained by her side until her last moment on this side of eternity.
