Nolte, Timothy J. Age 68 of Herrenburg, Germany and Rio Verde, AZ. Tim passed away suddenly Jan. 30, 2023; in Rio Verde, AZ, moving onto eternal life with the Lord. Tim was born in Waseca, MN, on March 17, 1954 and moved to Edina, MN in 1958. Tim attended Edina High School and Played Varsity football and was a Nation Merit semi-finalist. After graduating from EHS in 1972, he was accepted to Air Force Academy in Colo. Springs where he spent a year, only leaving after he discovered that wearing glasses made him ineligible to become a pilot. Tim eventually continued college at the University of Minnesota graduating with an engineering degree. After graduation he was hired by Hewlett Packard where he capped off a 39 year career. During his time at HP he was transfer to Germany where he met his bride to be Ilona. They were wed in 1986 and 1987 Ilona gave birth to their only child, Christopher, cementing Germany as Tim's permanent home. He spent the next 40 years loving his wife and son, learning the language, traveling the continent and creating numerous friendships. His work took him all over Europe where he is credited with bringing many of HP's new products to the European market. Tim's talents were many, but one that will truly be missed was his ability to tell a great joke. You could always count on a hilarious joke anytime you were in his presences. He also loved to assist in the kitchen; making gourmet meals with his Ilona. Many of his other talents ranged from building furniture from IKEA, assisting others build their stereo systems and anything computer related. Tim was patience and kind in all areas of living life, and to all those that were fortunate enough to know him. Tim's greatest and most endearing role was being a good father to his son Christopher, and a loving husband to his wife Ilona; he excelled at both. Tim had a love for a good Syfy book, enjoyed the Greatful Dead eternally, and found joy in anything Christopher was interested in. Tim was a great listener and was always there for family and friends throughout his life. Tim is preceded in death by his mother; Marcy, brother Chuck; Mother-in-Law; Rita, many uncles and aunts and both sets of grandparents. Tim is survived by his wife; Ilona, Son; Christopher (and Carlota), Father; Don (and Clarice), Sister Anne Luther (and David) Step Brothers; Craig (Kimberly) Lunaas; Eric (Michele) Lunaas; and Step Sister Britt Ann (Joe) Portillo. Nephews: Charlie, Blake (Nikki) and Niece (Lauren). Step Nephews and Nieces and several Great Nephews and Nieces. A small Memorial service was held in Rio Verde, AZ; Feb. 4, 2023. A Celebration of Life service in MN. will be held at a later date. If desired Donations can be directed to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund(JDRF). Interment Lakewood Cemetery
