Pletscher, John N. age 101, of New Brighton, passed away on March 14, 2023. Survived by children Robin, Mark (Janie), and Kris (George); grandchildren Ben (Jenni), Bethany (Mark), Liz (Bruce), Carolyn, and Christie (Mike); great-grandchildren Sydne, Sam, Sully, Michaela, Ruby, Declan, Scottie, and Ilona; brother Glenn. Preceded in death by wife Jeanne, son-in-law Michael, great- granddaughter Charlotte, brothers Bob and Jay, and sisters Marion and Joyce. John was raised in New Brighton, and at age 21, volunteered to serve his country with the Army Air Force. After the war he returned home to join his father and brothers to operate Pletschers' Greenhouses. He married his wife Jeanne in 1949, and they had three children. John worked until age 90, growing beautiful flowers and visiting with longtime customers and friends. He was the most amazing dad, grandpa and great-grandpa, and we miss him dearly. Funeral service Tuesday, March 28 at 11:00 AM, Elmwood Church, St. Anthony with visitation one hour prior.
