Mary Kalogerson

Kalogerson, Mary age 85, born March 26, 1937; died January 15, 2023. Survivor WW2 German occupation of Greece on the Aegean island Chios. Mary came to the U.S. in 1946, with her sister and mother and went to Weirton, W.V. Preceded in death by her father in 1944, during WW2. Mary graduated from Manhattan College, NY, as an x-ray technician. She is survived by her husband, Chris, daughter Lia (Dr. Nick), son Gregory, daughter Callie, and grandchildren Dr. Thomas and Christina. Mary was a devoted wife to her husband of 59 years. She was an incredible mother and loving grandmother. She had such a talent for making wedding and bridal accessories and was known in the Greek community for her Greek wedding crowns, favors and baptismal items. Everyone loved Mary's Greek pastries and she left an enormous impact on all the lives she touched. Mary was a member of St. Mary's Greek Orthodox Church and a member of the Hellenic-American Legion Auxiliary. She was a loving mother and yiayia, who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Mary will be deeply missed by all. May her memory be eternal. A private funeral was held at St. Mary's Greek Orthodox Church.
